Greetings! This is a friendly reminder that because you have all made the commitment to sing in Secondary Honors Choir it is expected that singers attend each rehearsal. Each rehearsal we learn more sections of the music. If your child is absent, they miss valuable learning and the group is missing a valuable member. It also takes more time to learn the music.
We have many students who have excellent, consistent attendance and others who have several absences.
Absences should be reserved ONLY for Illness or family emergency. Parents are asked to email me at pegousj@dearbornschools.org, whenever there is an absence for a child.
I understand sometimes students are tired or have a lot of homework, however, they should still be at rehearsal because we are all counting on one another.
Children learn the meaning and value of commitment through activities. Please let’s make sure we are sending the right messgae to the children about honoring commitments.
I look forward to seeing you all today for rehearsal today! Your children are a joy to work with!
We are getting close to our next upcoming performances: Wednesday, April 24 for Youth Arts Festival and Tuesday, May 7 for our Spring Concert. Let’s make sure the students are successful by having great attendance.
Much love,
Ms. Pegouske
