Do you think video games can rot your brain? In my opinion these games can really harm our health. Today I will be giving three reasons to support my opinion. I will explain why video games cause harm to our health, cause situations with the brain, and promote violence.

For starters, modern day video games can harm our mental health . In the article Do Video Games Rot Kids Brains? Margaret Buckler states, ‘’Playing shooter games can harm the hippocampus area of the brain, killing brain cells.’’

Secondly, theses games can cause problems with our physical health. In the same article, it states that ‘’the constant need to play these games has several negative unhealthy effects on children.’’  More gaming means less exercise.

Last but not least, shooting games can promote violence. In games such as Fortnite and Grand Theft Auto [GTA] there is a lot of violence. You see punching, shooting, assault, weapons, and inappropriate language.

In summary, video games can cause a lot of damage. Gaming has a very negative affect on people’s health, electronic devices can hurt the hippocampus. Finally, it stops kids from understanding what’s ‘’right’’ and what’s “wrong”.
