Fun Friday!

Here is our favorite Spring Songs:

Today make your Mom a flower card using your hand.
On the inside you can write the words SPRING IS HERE!
Don’t forget to put your name on it.
This weekend you can go for a walk and look for flowers that have come up.
Take a picture of it for me and I will post it.
I have one yellow flower in my yard and I will send you a picture of it

Dolch Word List

Set 1: a, and, big, can, for, go, here, I, in, is, it, me, said, the, to

Set 2: away, come, down, little, look, make, my, not, play, run, see, up, we, where, you

Set 3: find, funny, help, jump, one, two, three, blue, red, yellow

This list was found on the kidzone website shared by Karim’s mom.

At school I write the words on index cards so they will last longer. No index cards paper is fine.

Ideas to use with the cards. First I would only start with one set at a time then move on once your child recognizes the words.

Matching game
Matching game played just like the memory game.
Go through and find all the words in the circle.

Happy Thursday

Today we will work on prepositions:

Play a game with a small toy. Ask your child to put it –

  • over their head
  • under their chin
  • behind their back
  • between their knees
  • on their lap
  • beside their foot
  • etc.

It’s going to be a beautiful day today so it is a perfect day to sing Mr.Golden Sun and practice drawing Mr. Golden sun!

We usually hold a picture of the sun while the song is on and dance around with it!

HAVE A GREAT DAY PLAYING OUTSIDE! I THINK I WILL RAKE THE BACKYARD TO TODAY!

Good Tuesday morning!

Today we are going to work on math and reading epic books to earn a badge. We haven’t earned a badge in over a week 🙁

You can use the whole egg carton for numbers, patterns or both!
No egg carton available you can use a cupcake pan!
No egg cartons, no cupcake pan just use a piece of paper!

Today I would like everyone to read or listen to one or two books on epic. Not on epic you can read a book that you have at home! You can always listen to Pete the Cat again or other Pete the Cat books. Enjoy!

Good Morning!

Hope everyone had a nice quiet weekend.

Today’s work: Read or watch “Pete the Cat – I Love my White Shoes By Eric Litwin and James Dean.

  • Talk about the colors of the shoes then go around the house and find the colors. You can either write the color word out for the older students or make circles of different colors so they can use the colors to match items they find.
  • Once they are done they can practice printing out some color words to practice printing letters today.
  • Students can draw a picture of Pete the Cat with their favorite color shoes on.

Don’t forget to send me pictures! Have fun!!!!!
