Welcome back everyone! I hope everyone had a restful and healthy break!

I had a healthy break but I can’t say it was restful but at least I spent quality time with my family.

Week of January 6, 2020

Upcoming dates to remember

  • Fri. Jan. 17 – No P.M. class
  • Mon. Jan. 20 – No School – Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
  • Tues. Jan. 21 – No P.M. class

Theme: Snowmen (Really thought we would have snow in January)

  • Poem: Chubby Little Snowman (you tube by Little Fox)
  • Book: Building a Snowman by Carolyn Kisloski found on Epic Books
  • Letter Nn – Nose, Numbers and Noodles
  • Math: Sizes – Small, Medium and Large (What you need to make a snowman – three different size snowballs)
  • Shapes: Hexagon, Circle, Square, Star

READING LOGS – Starting in January each family will be responsible to fill out a monthly reading log. I will send it home this week and you can start the day you receive it.

  • Building Vocabulary
  • Establishing essential foundation literacy skills
  • It is a social opportunity between the parent and child to create positive attitudes toward reading

Reading Exposure can be

  • Reading books and Nursery Rhymes aloud together
  • Talking daily about home and the community
  • Singing, drawing and telling stories

PLEASE PUT YOUR CHILD’S NAME ON ALL NEW HATS, COATS AND MITTENS. SO FAR WE HAVE A BLACK PUMA HAT AND SPIDERMAN GLOVES THAT NO ONE IS CLAIMING!
