Welcome back! I hope you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend break

6th graders have made it through their first week of school and are already showing progress with

arriving to class on time
making sure their schedule, planner & identification card is with them at ALL times and
able to make good use of their passing time between each hour

A few suggestions are to take advantage of passing time to use the restroom, drink water, get their snack and come to class prepared for science. The following are required: science folder, composition notebook and supplies (pencil, sharpener, tape/glue stick/marker/sharpie).

Open House is scheduled for Wednesday 9/12 at 6:00 p.m. I look forward to seeing you then.

This week in science we will continue to

Review procedures and expectations
Assemble our science journals
Practice how to work and communicate in small groups
Log on to Google Classroom
If time allows, students will also have a mini quiz to assess their knowledge on :Science Syllabus along with our class procedures.

Lastly, syllabus contract (half-sheet) is due this week. If your child child accidentally misplaced it, please click on the “Science Syllabus 18-19” link page and print the contract which is on page 3.
