As we continue our discussion this week about the structure and function of some plant animal cell organelles, we will be doing so independently through input and output differentiated science lab stations. Afterward students will complete a mini-lab quiz to assess their knowledge gained from the stations they visited with their 8 o’clock science buddy. Watch It and Research It links were posted on Google Classroom last week.

This week students will take part during lecture discussions to share what they learned or what questions they still have about the structure and functions of plant and animal cell organelles. Afterward a 2-3 part project will be introduced to them to work in class this week and part of next week to analyze how similar and/or different plant and animal cells are. I asked some students to bring play-doh or clay to use with their team this week . However it isn’t necessary if they come without it as we could use papers and sketches to represent such structures.

After school tutoring will begin on Tuesday 12/5 of this week to students who are performing below grade level or have failed 1-2 classes this semester. After-school tutoring sheets will be passed out tomorrow to students who meet such criteria. Tutoring begins in the media center on Tuesday 12/5/2017 . Actual hours for tutoring are Tuesdays through Thursdays from 3:05 pm to 4:05 p.m. weekly.
