This week we reflected on our learning and findings from the 4 station labs students took part in last week.

Through lab reflection students:

  • Revised their lab notes with their elbow buddy while sharing their data and observations they made.
  • Received a copy of the other lab stations they didnt get to complete in class. The 2-3 remaining lab stations were assigned as homework for completion before we met again in class. Video demonstration for each lab station was posted on Google Classroom. Time was also given in class for students to complete their lab written reflection.
  • Met with their 10 o’clock science buddy to analyze and intepret their lab data. They also wrote down what questions they had for clarification during lab discussions.
  • Used a Forest Lot model to interpret their understanding of the lesson’s challenge question
    • What causes water to go into our stream?

Students will be presenting their forest model to the class with their clock buddy expalining their interpretation of how water goes into the stream.

Our goal for next week is to answer the lesson challenge question using the C.E.R.E.R.C writing format and complete the quiz for lessons 1 and 2.

A “Checklist” will be posted on Google classroom for them to utilize to check their notes for understanding and completion.
