Thank you to the parents, siblings and guardians who stopped by during “Open House” last week. I hope by now parents are connected to “Parent Connect” and students are connected to “Student Connect” to stay up to date with their grades. I have updated my gradebook on Friday to show graded assignments. The following are posted so far

This week in Science

We completed NWEA testing for MAth, Reading and Language.
Completed the Unit 1 Science Pretest
Reviewed and paracticed our Lab Safety rules and LEARNED about the TIGHT (Loose their license) and Loose (given a warning) lab safety rules.
Students received their scientist LAB LICENSE
We have chosen our Class Ambassadors

Next week:

Students will complete and submit their Learning Plan (check Google Classroom). It is every student’s responsibility to show 35% growth or higher from Pretest to Posttest. Please help your child this week to think about those 2 goals for the first semester as I will post this assignment on Google Classroom on Monday.
We will begin our first UNIT on Water
6th grade students and teachers are going on a field trip with the WEB leaders on Monday (FIRST DAY OF FALL). Please make sure students are dressed for the weather and bring their bagged lunch with their name on it.
