This week in Science we continued to review our procedures and expectations in the classroom, hallway and school. We started to set up our science journals however it will be completed next week. Ms. Elder, our school counselor visited our classroom on Thursday and Friday to discuss the importance of learning, being prepared and staying focused. She introduced multiple resources students could utilize to stay focused and successful throughout their middle school journey.

In summary we ..

  1. Started setting up our science journals
  2. Joined Google Classroom
  3. Flip Grid video introduction (posted on Google Classroom and is due on Friday 9/6)
  4. discussed the importance of being responsible and coming to class on time and being prepared with (name tent, folder, composition notebook, supplies and planner)
  5. Started a classroom Scavenger Hunt to become familiar with some important areas around the classroom.
  6. Conversation with the guidance counselor, Mrs. Elder regarding their goals and being prepared for their 6th grade and middle school journey.
  7. Completed “Student Interest Inventory” to find out what things/interests they have in common with their classmates.
  8. Introduced and received a copy of our 5 Classroom Jams.
