I hope you went outside and enjoyed the beautiful weekend we had!

In the past few weeks we explored through interesting lessons in science. Now it is time to think about what it means to ask and answer questions in Science through investigations.

This week’s Lesson Question is:

What does it mean to use science to understand a puzzling event or problem?

Key Concepts: Science is a way of knowing that it begins with questioning and it involves conducting investigations to gather evidence to answer a question or questions.

Learning Objective: Students will be able to ask and/or identify questions that can be answered by an investigation.

This objective above will be fulfilled as you complete 4 investigations.

Monday : Anchor Lesson introduced {Puzzling Events and problems in real life..}

Tuesday: Read the stories about 3 scientists who observed some of these puzzling events and problems in real life and then used the process of science to investigate them.

Wednesday: Now that you have come up with your own ideas about what it means to use science to answer a question, it’s time to compare your ideas to others’ thinking. The real process of science

Thursday : Time to connect the puzzle pieces together! Science is all about being curious and answering questions. Everyone has questions about why things are the way they are, or about what causes another event to happen. What have you wondered before about the natural or human world?

Friday: Review Game with Kahoot! Today will also be your “Catch up Day or relax but stay curious!!!”

I am hoping for you to put on your scientist hat this week as you navigate through these lessons. The purpose of the activities for this week is to allow you to focus on wondering and asking questions about things around us. IN the SCIENCE WORLD we are always curious!
