In the spirit of Environmental Education Week and Earth Day..Friends of the Rouge have shared with me some fun and exciting things that you and your family could do or take part in!

  • Indoor and outdoor Rouge-related activities for all ages.  Join an ONLINE Rouge-wide challenge! Compete with your friends and neighbors to complete meaningful Rouge Rescue activities at your home. New activities will be added periodically to get you outside while you’re stuck at home. Earn points for each activity completed, achieve special badges, and Rescue the Rouge Every Day!

Step-by-step guide to sign up..

  1. Go to friendsoftherouge.wespire.com.
  2. Type in your email address and click the “Sign Up” button.
  3. Enter your first and last name, email, and create a password to log back in later. Then press the “Sign Up” button.
  4. Next join a Rouge team (whichever you’d like!) and select the Rouge River community you live in (or choose “Other” if you live outside the watershed). Then press “All done”.
  5. You’re ready to play! Start with the “Get Into the Game” campaign.
  6. Bookmark Rouge Rescue to complete more activities and earn points!
  7. Invite friends and family to play along to strengthen your team or enjoy friendly competition. 
  8. Share photos from your adventures!
