Last week in Science

Students created an informational poster or a slideshow to portray what they learned about the African American scientist they chose to research.

This week in Science…

  • Students will take part in a Gallery Walk as they present their findings and/or listen to their colleagues African American Scientist research.
  • We will discuss new findings or questions students had after the African American Scientist Gallery Walk.
  • (Unit 2: Lesson 3)We will continue investigating what certain characteristics living things have as students complete 2 labs this week….
    • yeast lab
    • Microscope slides lab

Lesson 3 Question:

  • How do we know if something is living?

Lesson 3 Gotta Have Checklist:

  • How living things have certain characteristics that non living things do not have.
  • How all living things are made of cells.
  • How the number of cells can vary between organisms.
  • How and why different tools are needed to study cells.

**Progress reports will be sent home this week for students receiving a C- or less in Science.

Lastly, our wonderful PTSA will host a pancake dinner on Friday March 6, 2020 from 5:30pm to 7:30 p.m.
