Good evening! Thank you to the parents and guardians who made it to our conferences on Monday 11/18 and last Wednesday 11/13.

This week in Science:

A-Day and B-Day students were assessed on lesson 4. They also completed a written assignment, labeled “6.1.4 Summary Table”. Students included evidence they collected from both labs they completed last week. Afterward, they used the lab evidence to answer the lesson’s main question ” Why does water move differently in different states?” Lastly, they connected what they learned to the first lessons’ Challenge Scenario (Forest Lot to Present Lot).
A-Day students created a pictorial model of present day scenery including scientific facts they learned about water transfer to our nearest stream and to the atmosphere.
Students synthesized the information they learned to consider how water moves on a global scale through the water cycle.
We started new lab investigations to answer Lesson 5’s questions,
- How does water change state, from solid to liquid to gas?
- How does this affect the water system?

Students will be sharing their findings this week and next week with the class to answer lesson 5 questions above. They will also complete the lesson summary table with their 7 o’clock partner before sharing their findings.
