 As quarter 1 marking period ended on Friday 11/2/2018, students’ grades along with remarks have been posted and their report cards will be available at the Atrium during conferences.  Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Monday 11/12 and Wednesday 11/14 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.  I look to meeting you then.

This week marks the start of the second quarter marking period.  We will review students’ learning plan and make some revisions as needed.  Please take the time to review “Parent Connect” or have your child show you their grades on “Student Connect“.  Remember to click on the tab “SHOW ALL” to see every assignment grade posted and/or missing.

There is no school on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 to allow the public to perform their civic duties.

Picture retake is scheduled for Wednesday November 7th for students who were absent during the first go around.  This will also extend to those who purchased packets and ar unhappy with the results.

This week in Science:

  • We will continue the discussion about microorganisms focusing on the 2 main types:
    • Prokaryotes and Eukaryotes.
  • We will do so by working independently through
    • differentiated INPUT and OUTPUT Lab science stations and
    • Bellwork discussions
  • Some of the science vocabulary words students will be reading and discussing about are:
    •  cell type, prokaryote, eukaryote, nucleus, organelle, unicellular, multicellular, cell size, DNA, reproduction.
