In order to earn high school credit for this class, you must:
1.Earn a 78% or higher on both semester exams. Exams will be given at the end of semester 1 and semester 2.
2. Earn a final grade of C or higher in class.
The Michigan Merit Curriculum requirement for math is 4 credits. If you earn high school credit for Algebra, you will only need to complete 3 additional credits during high school. However, your may complete additional math credits.
Placement into high school math course will be determined based on the following factors:
1.Math credit earned in Algebra 1
2. Earn NWEA Math RIT score of 245 or higher
3. Earn a PSAT score of 430 or higher.
Both semester exams will be comprised of approximately 35-40 questions. The test will be administered on-line. Students will have up to 90 minutes to complete the exam.
