Today our children learned about the importance of making safe and smart choices using technology.  Ask your child to tell you one important thing they learned about that today.

Mrs. Alvarado and Mrs. Lock, our fabulous Media and Art teachers have joined together to create literacy in action.  Check out these settings of stories our children created.

Our noon hour supervisors attended two days of training with Mr. Michniewicz to learn new recess games for our kids .

We all know it takes the partnership between families and schools to help our children succeed.

We are excited to welcome our students back to school on Tuesday, September 5 at 7:50 am.  It is a half day of school for all students with dismissal at 11:05.   Our all school flag raising ceremony will be on Wednesday at 8:10.  Let’s all wear red, white and blue on Wednesday to celebrate the beginning of another great year at Salina!!

Kindergarten Soft Start 2017

Families of nine- and ten-year old students:

Earlier in the school year, you received information from the University of Michigan requesting your voluntary participation in the Adolescent Brain and Cognitive Development (ABCD) study. Over 10,000 nine- and ten-year-old children across the country will join this landmark study, supported by the American School Health Association and National Institutes of Health.

Participants will be paid for their time, up to $400 per year. Please consider being part of this important study with your child.
