A huge thank you to the Toledo Zoo Praire Project, with the support of Cleveland Cliffs, for helping us plant a prairie at Salina School. Who knew that we plant seeds in the winter to help them germinate? They helped us learn a lot about creating a prairie, and we are excited to watch it grow over the next three years.

Children planting seeds in the snow!!

One of the educators from the Project Prairie staff teaching students about what happens to seeds when they are planted in the snow.

Children listen to the educator as he shows the deep root system that will grow!! These plants will live for many years to come.
