E-Portfolio’s and Read Theory

Library Sept. 27
We will be going to the Library to check out two Good Fit Reading Books on September 27. Students should bring their I.D. card if they have it. When we arrive, the librarian will review procedures and students will check out books in a timely fashion. Thank you

Welcome to the new school year! I am located in room 221. I look forward to working with you. We are off to a good start. Students shared their summer reading book talks. We will be NWEA testing next week. Please make sure your children have enough sleep and a healthy breakfast before school. Thank you,
Dress Code Reminders
Dress Code Reminder
As the school year winds down and the weather gets warmer (hopefully), we would like to remind students and parents of the School Dress Code:
1. No spaghetti straps or thin strapped tank tops.
2. No short shorts or skirts – put you hands down to your side, if the shorts or skirt are shorter than the tips of your fingers, it is too short.
3. No midriffs (short shirts) where stomach or anything else is showing.
4. T-shirts need be worn under jerseys.
5. If anything is questionable we will address at point of incident.

Summer Reading Book List

Each student is responsible for reading 3-5 books from your building’s recommended reading list. Be prepared to present a Book Talk in September when you return to school. Thank you,
Field Day
Field Day Wednesday June 12- All grades in the afternoon only

Field Day
6th grade field day will be June 10. 7th grade field day will be June 11. Students will be playing outside on the field. They may walk around the track or play sports with the balls provided. Students deserve this reward after all of their hard work and I am proud for them. It was an excellent school year and I am excited for what the future brings for them.
Book Report Project
Book Report Projects are due May 23. Students need to complete a 150 page novel, a two page summary, and a poster presentation. Students have requirements page and rubric. In class time is also provided. All supplies are also provided. I can’t wait to hear all the wonderful things that they have read this month!
