Welcome Back!

Welcome back to the 2020-21 school year! I am excited to see new faces and to continue to work with familiar faces! This year we are starting off virtually and hopefully transitioning to in person and hybrid instruction. We are using a new website and program this year called “Schoology.”

Schoology is where we will access our information for the upcoming year. There you will have your courses listed, classwork, discussions, links to videos, and many other resources. Grades will still be accessed off of student connect. If you have questions please email me at salamed@dearbornschools.org. I wanted to also inform you that this program is new to teachers and new to students as well so please be patient as we navigate and learn how to communicate on this new platform. Looking forward to working with you and see you on Zoom!

Superintendent Message to parents

Dear Parent(s),

Every year, billions of dollars in federal funding go to hospitals, fire departments, schools, roads, and other resources based on census data.

For a better future of our city, schools, and students , please click on the link now and fill out the census. It only takes a few minutes from your time to make a difference.

Complete the Census application here:

Hi Everyone!
IF you notice on the schedule I posted on April 20th, the calendar shows that June 5 is the last work day. School ends several days after that. You don’t have work that last week because that is time for you to catch up on all your missing work. Remember, I accept late work. So, for those of you that are working on schedule, you will have everything wrapped up by June 5. Otherwise, for those of you who are behind, continue working so I can enter grades. Thank you,

HAPPY EID AND HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!
