Celebrating Peace Day
At the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year, the second graders learned about Peace and how to draw a peace symbol. Also, they learned about patterns and how to create one when painting their peace symbols.
All the peace symbols were glued together to make a beautiful paper quilt.
The kids love them and they always stop in the hallway and examine the quilt with admiration! Great job 2nd graders!
At the beginning of 2013-2014 school year, the kindergartners learned about Peace and how to draw a peace symbol.
At the end, the peace symbols made beautiful quilts that are now decorating our art hallway. Please take time to look at the different quilts made by all the kindergarten classes. They look awesome!
Celebrating Peace Day
To celebrate Peace Day,the third graders created their peace project after learning about cool and warm colors. Also, they learned how to draw the peace symbol. They used a warm color to paint the peace symbol and a cool color to paint the background.
