I read the book “Feathers for Lunch” by Lois Ehlert to the students. Then, we used the Visual Thinking Strategy while looking at a picture of a cat. Students learned the different parts of the cat. At the end, they drew their cats using shapes and lines. The cat will be traced and painted later. I can’t wait to see it done!
