Week of December 1st

Element of art:   Shape  (2D Shape)

Vocabulary: ornament- garlands

The fourth graders adopted the shape of a  2D star to make  ornaments for our garlands that will decorate the school for the holidays.  They cut stars out of recycled cardboard.  They decorated them with lines using glitters and paint. Then, they punch a hole at the top to use them as ornaments.

Empty Bowls

Miller students and teachers made clay bowls to donate and collect money to the needy families in our community. Thanks to all participants.  Big thank you goes to our principal, Mr. Abu-Rus for allowing everybody at Miller to be part of this worthy cause. It was enjoyed by everyone.
