Stained Glass (Third Grade)

Students are learning about the history of stained glass and the difference between geometric and organic shapes.  These shapes will be used later in the stained glass window that they will create with papers.

Students folded a practice paper in half and drew a frame around it.

They used three geometric shapes in the middle of the frame. Shapes were supposed to fit like pieces of a puzzle inside the frame. They should not touch.

Students had to cut each shape by punching a hole in the middle to help them go around the shape to cut it out.
