Empty Bowls (5th Grade)

Thank you to all my fifth graders for making clay bowls to help feed many needy families in our community.  Miller students raised 150 dollars so far.  If you son or daughter likes to buy one clay bowl, please tell them to come to the art room and pick their own or the bowl of another student. It is only for a donation of 5 dollars. The money will go to Gleaners and Blessing in a Backpack.

Last Monday, The art teachers were able to sell the Empty Clay Bowls and raise 3,500 dollars.  This amount will increase because the art teachers are still allowing the students a chance to buy the  bowl they made.

Here are some photos taken before the Empty Bowls events and some at Park Place. The finished bowls looked very colorful just like the fall leaves. The students did an amazing job and I am very proud of them for trying to make them look so neat and for participating in a very worthy cause.
