The 4th graders are learning about the Russian Dolls.

Last Week, students wrote what they know about Russian Dolls in the RAN chart.

Ms.DiMeria, our Miller speech therapist, was our guest speaker this week. She shared her knowledge about the Russian culture and specifically about the Russian dolls. She showed the students different sets of nesting dolls that she bought as souvenirs from Russia. Kids learned where Russia is on the map and learned Russian greetings.

I showed the students a slide show of different sets of Russian dolls and some facts about them.

The students had to review  what they put in the RAN chart and move the information to the right column.  Also, they were encouraged to add new facts.
