Sura Art Academy (Fall 2017)

The Arab American National Museum’s (AANM) SURA Arts Academy is back and better than ever!  In the 10-week course, photography students will explore, document, and learn the art of photography.  Students will have the opportunity to speak with professional photographers and explore their community through the lens of their camera.  This semester, students will focus on issues of identity, community, social justice, synergy, unity, and culture through not only their camera lens but through social media, as students take control of our Instagram page!  The program will take place at AANM every Tuesday, Starting Oct 3rd – December 12th from 4:30-6:30pm.  As with all SURA classes, the students final work will be displayed in AANM’s gallery space in Spring of 2018.
