Day of the Dead Sugar Skulls (3rd Grade)

In Art, third grade students worked on designing  sugar skulls for the Day of the Dead using different kinds of lines.They learned about this Mexican holiday, why, and how it is celebrated in Mexico and around the world.

The  celebration of Day of the Dead will take place on October 31st, November 1st, and November 2nd. Now, the sugar skulls are displayed in the Art  hallway at school.  Make sure you take the time to find the one that your son or daughter designed.  They did a great job and had fun designing and painting.
