Week 3: Home Learning

Hi, everyone. I hope and pray everyone is safe and healthy at home. If these activities are not working or there are specific ones wanted please let me know. If you want downloadable worksheets also let me know. I am not sure what technology or time families have.

I was thinking to send pics of what I have been up to with my kids. We are doing alphabet isolation and going through the alphabet. We are on the letter L. Can you believe that?!

Please keep sending me your pictures! I also want to do a virtual hangout this Thursday at 1pm using google hangout. If you can join let me know I will send you the information on how to join. I am thinking for each student to find one item they want to share with me or whoever is with us!

I miss you guys so much. I love you all.

Week 2: Learning from Home

I was meaning to post this from early today, but I have been in online meetings back to back. In the meeting we discussed work we need to send home is to enrich student growth during these times off. Students should work at home daily since as of now home learning is our only option and will not need to make up these days.

I hope your days are going well. I miss you and can’t wait to get back to school but in the meantime we need to keep learning and practicing our life skills.

Here are chores to work on this whole week. Pick 1-2 a day!

Here is a list of job skill practice work on these throughout the week.

COVID19 Update:

Dearborn Public Schools Offering Free Breakfast and Lunch Pick-up for All Children 18yrs and younger

Pickups will run daily from 10am – 12pm starting March 17 at six locations:

  • Fordson,
  • Edsel Ford,
  • Dearborn High,
  • McCollough-Unis,
  • Salina Intermediate,
  • and Woodworth Middle School.

Signage at each site will direct parents and students where to enter the building. Food will be near entrances to minimize the amount of time community members spend in the facilities.

Please note, meals are available to anyone age 18 and younger. Students do not need to be present, and the
Dearborn School student does not need to be enrolled at the school where pick-up is made. A designated person can collect meals for multiple children.

Vday prep

Our themes for our work this week and next is Valentine’s Day. We will be thinking of the things and people we love. Our writing this coming week will be valentine cards and writing things we love about ourselves. We made shower disks that will be coming home next week. These are not to be eaten! Lol you simple place the shower disk on the short floor and let the steak and water release the disks oils to give you a relaxing shower! I am really trying to get pics but I forgot my phone in the class for the first group!!
thanks to the parents who sent their $7 for February. This money covers some of the amount I spend on recipes, gifts, our party next week and activities I purchase as well as restocking our snacks and rewards.
if you want to join us for the vday party let me know.
