Bathroom policy reminder

Parents,

Lately, many students have been missing instructional time to leave the room to go to the restroom several times a day, to the point that it has become disruptive.  Today,  I introduced a new bathroom policy.  I have a dry erase list of students names, students are allowed one visit to the restroom in the morning and one in the afternoon.  This is in addition to going before the morning bell rings, lunch time and after school.  Of course there are exceptions and parents can talk to me about any individual health issues.

Good evening

Just an FYI, I will not be in our building tomorrow.  I have an all-day teacher training at another building.  I have requested a nice sub, and she has lots of plans for you tomorrow, I trust that you will have a great day and show her the same respect that you show me.

Tonight:

You should do your regular math drill sheet, and spelling homework.  But, in addition to that, please be sure to read the informational animal book that was given to you today.  You will be expected to write a topic sentence and at least 3 facts about your topic tomorrow during writer’s workshop.  So be sure to become an expert about your animal tonight!

Some students have asked for the names of the students in the class because they want to address their cards.

You DO NOT have to label each one with a friends name, you can just sign your own name to each card.
