Today’s math test

The students took their actual math test today.  Unfortunately, most students did much worse than their pre test which was almost identical.  I think this is due to the excitement of the day, so I will take that into consideration as I figure the unit grade for this unit test.  The pretest was given just like an actual test, so I feel comfortable counting that test score as the majority of thier assessment.

We had lots of fun today!  We made ornaments, santa faces, ate treats, and since we were dressed in antlers…we watched Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer.  The sing along was fun too!

Math Pre Test

Your child took a math pre test today.  I graded it and I am sending it home today.  Please look at which areas your child is struggling and help them with those areas.

The final test for this unit will be on Friday December 19th.

Spelling words week of December 15th

Spelling Words for the week of December 15th:

These are the spelling words your child should be practicing at home. The spelling pattern for this week is –ch. Make sure your child is doing the spelling homework in their spelling/poetry notebook on a daily basis. Test will be on Friday.

Parent meeting tomorrow morning 8:45

Please come to our parent meeting tomorrow morning.  We will be working together with your child to complete a Daily 5 lesson, visit the computer lab to explore MyOn and my iblog site!

**Please do not bring young brothers and sisters to the meeting, it is a distraction and we will not have anything for them to do.
