Classroom Behavior

In your child’s folder you will see a “Red, Yellow, Green light” paper. This will show you each day how your child is doing with their classroom behavior. Please look to see which color they were on each day and talk about why they were on that color. Please leave this paper in the folder so that we can fill it out each day. Each paper should last for 4 weeks.

Green = Great day
Yellow= First warning
Red= Second Warning
Blue= Call home

Our rules are simple:

1. Keep your hands to yourself
2. Be kind to others
3. Be a good listener, raise your hand to talk
4. Do your best work

Math Pre test tomorrow

We will have a math Unit 1 pre test tomorrow. Your child will take the pretest tomorrow and I will send it home graded. You should practice the types of questions that are on the pretest over the weekend. Your child will take the math Unit 1 TEST on Monday.

If you notice problems that your child missed on the pretest, please practice them over the weekend. This will help them to do better on the test on Monday.

The test contains questions about things we have been practicing in school such as:
counting
number lines
counting by 5’s
graphing
tally marks
greater than > < less than

Math fun!

Today we learned about “greater than and less than” in math. We used the Monster Squeeze Game to practice. Your child made a small game to bring home. Please ask your child how to play the game and play along with them for practice.
