Hello Parents,
This year Field Day will be on Friday, June 3rd at Oakman School. Field Day costs the school a great amount of money and since we didn’t get donations from parents or businesses we need to charge each child a fee. In order for your child to enjoy the moonwalks, the obstacle course, eat popcorn, cotton candy, and have drinks, we are asking each student to pay $2 to your child’s teacher.
Every student is to pay to participate in Field Day.

We will serve a pizza lunch and the PTA will sell cheese and nachos for an extra fee.
· 9:00-11:15pm for kindergarten through 2nd grade.

· 1:00-3:30pm for 3rd through 5th grade.

We need parents to help with the children move from station to station. You can stay with your child’s class to help the teacher move along.

الاهل الكرام,

يصادف نهار الجمعة 3 حزيران يوم اللهو والالعاب السنوي في مدرسة أوكمن. ان تكلفة هذا اليوم عالية جدا وبما اننا لم نحصل على اي تبرعات من الاهل او المتاجر سوف نطلب من التلاميذ 2 دولار لتغطية مصاريف الالعاب والحلوى وغيرها من النشاطات.
يجب ان يدفع التلاميذ لكي يتمكنوا من المشاركة.
يقوم مجلس الاهل بتقديم البيتزا لوجبة الغداء والناتشو من دفع المزيد من المال.

· 9:00-11:15 صباحا صفوف الروضة-الثاني

· 1:00-3:30 صفوف الثالث-الخامس.

كما اننا بحاجة للمساعدة من الاهل حيث يستطيع المتطوع البقاء مع معلمة الصف لمساعدتها.

Friday Parent Meeting 9am in the cafeteria-Child Protective Services, Mandated Reporting and Child Abuse
Hello Parents,

Join us tomorrow, Friday May 20 at 9am, to discuss child abuse and Mandated Reporting. We want to inform parents what is and what is not considered to be child abuse, the role of Child Protective Services, and address the fears and misconceptions about it.

كما ان نهار الجمعة 20 ايار\مايو الساعة 9 صباحا سنتحدث عن التقارير المطلوبة. كما نود اعلام الاهل عن موضوع تعذيب الاولاد, ودور مكتب الخدمات الوقائية ومعالجة المخاوف والمغالطات عن مكتب الخدمات.

Field day is June 3rd. The cost is $2.00 per child. This will include a pizza lunch.

Please plan on attending field day with us if you can. This will help our class out very much.

You received a yellow note today that asks you to check off if you are willing to come help out. Please consider helping, I cannot do it alone. Send in the $2.00 and the note as soon as possible.

Tomorrow parent meeting 5/17

Hello Parents,
Join us tomorrow on Tuesday, May 17 at 9 am for a parent meeting on Suicide Awareness. More and more we are hearing about our youth falling into depression, having extreme conflict within themselves and with their peers then turning to suicide. Our goal at ACCESS and Oakman School is to help parents understand the warning signs of suicide and how to help prevent. Your children may be small now, but middle school, high school and college are the critical years where children are affected by depression so let us be informed.

Then at the end of the week ,on Friday May 20 at 9am, we will discuss Mandated Reporting. We want to inform parents about what is and is not considered to be child abuse, the role of Child Protective Services, and to address fears and misconceptions about it.

الاهل الكرام,

شاركونا يوم غد الثلاثاء 17 ايار\مايو الساعة 9 صباحا للبحث والتوعية بموضوع الانتحار حيث نسمع هذه الايام عن الكثير من مشاكل الاكتئاب بين الشباب والذين يعانون من الصراع الداخلي ومع اصدقائهم . ان هدفنا في المركز العربي ومدرسة أوكمن ان نرشد الاهل عن اعراض الاكتئاب وكيفية منعها . قد يكون ولدكم لا يزال صغيرا ولكن قد تستفيد من هذه المعلومات في المراحل المتوسطة والثانوية والجامعية.
