WELCOME BACK!

Welcome back, I hope everyone had a great summer.

The past couple days have just been going over procedures and classroom rules. I passed out the syllabus yesterday and we have reviewed it in class. This will need to be signed by both parent and student and turned in next Tuesday for points. I have also sent out a parent letter that is not necessary to return.

Here is the syllabus and parent letter:

Again, this is due next Tuesday when we come back from break.

Thank you, and I look forward to having a great school year.

These are the results for the city-track meet yesterday.

I am not sure if anyone is able to see the results, or if you need to be a member of athletic.net.  This is the first time we have used this website.

Congrats to the Boys team for their championship!  And to the girls for a narrow margin 2nd place!

April 17th, 2019

The last few days in class we have been working on the Silk Road.

Students created a character that would have been ‘traveling’ west on the Silk Road from China to the Roman Empire, and along the way they wrote journal entries of what they learned.  At each stop they analyzed a document, answered questions about it, and wrote an entry.

Their journal entries are a SUMMATIVE grade for this chapter.  There will also be a short quiz next week on the silk road too.

Here is all the notes, documents and some examples of journal entries:
