Yesterday and today in class we continued chapter 2: Early Hominids. We read sections 2 and 3 yesterday and completed the notes on it. Today we worked on section 4: Homo Erectus and completed the notes.

Last few days in class students have been taking the NWEA language test. Today was our last day.

After the chapter 1 test last week students were assigned a newsela.com article that they had to work on. Students are to read the article, highlight information they learned in class, and then complete the writing and quiz assignments.

The article is due TOMORROW (Wednesday)!

CHAPTER 1 RE-TAKE IS THURSDAY AFTER SCHOOL

If a student got a D+ or lower on their test they qualify for a re-take. It will be held after school on Thursday. If a student cannot make this they need to let me know, or else they forfeit their chance for the re-take.

Yesterday we took the chapter 1 test.

I also checked their notes and their bellwork (please see prior post for more information). Most students did well, about 90% were in the A and B range on the test.

I just entered their Ch1 ID in the grade book. Students can still have a chance to turn this in for credit.

Today we started the language NWEA test. We will do this test for the next couple of days.
