MONDAY THE FINAL DRAFT IS DUE FOR THE LETTER!!

The final draft needs to be typed, and printed out BEFORE coming to class on Monday.  Students will need to start finding ways to print out their papers if they don’t have one at home.  I know I am not the first nor last teacher to require students to print materials.  They will need to find a way, not just for this class, but for all classes now and in the future.

Here is the rubric for the final draft (same thing copied 4 times):

Yesterday I had jury duty, so I wasn’t able to be at school.  The sub showed a video about ancient Egypt and some of the engineering achievements of different pharaohs.  They weren’t able to finish it, but we will finish it at a later date.  Here is the link to the video:

Today we finished up the chapter discussing section 6, about pharaoh Ramses II and his temple at Abu Simbel.  Students learned that the temple recently was in danger from floods caused by a nearby dam.  So a team of conservationists in the 1960’s cut pieces of the temple away and moved the temple to a higher location.  The temple is over 3,000 years old.  Students need to finish their reading notes with section 6
