Last few days we have been learning about Buddhism and the basic beliefs and teachings. Here is all the information needed including the power point, notes, vocab sheet, and article:

Here is a video we watched on Buddhism as well:

If students need any of the other power points from other religions, they can always look at the last couple blog posts or find them on iLearn.

QUIZZES

Students have been taking open note/book quizzes for each religion as we complete them, and they can also take these quizzes as many times as needed. These quizzes will be used as study guides for their final test which will be closed note/book. So far, students should have completed the Hinduism, Judaism, and Buddhism quizzes

EXTRA CREDIT

Today, Judaism EC was due, and Monday the Hinduism was due. Students are to read the chapter and complete the notes for EC (skip preview and processing for the notes).

We have begun our unit on world religions and started with Hinduism. Today we finished Hinduism and began Judaism. Last week I gave the students their vocabulary work that will have to be completed by the end of this unit. This is somewhat of their illustrated dictionary, but all they need to do is the definition and in their own words. Here is the vocab:

Here are the notes for the world religions unit. It has all 5 religions, plus a map, and we will be filling in the boxes as we go through each religion. Each religion will have a power point where they can get this information.

Here is the power point on Hinduism which will help fill in the boxes on the notes:

EXTRA CREDIT OPTION

If students would like to do extra credit, they will have the opportunity to do so by completing the reading notes designated for that religion/chapter in the textbook. They can do as much or as little as they want in the reading notes for credit. They also need to skip the preview and processing (beginning and end of the notes). These notes will be due on Monday:
