I just realized that I closed the quizzes on iLearn for this morning. I have changed the closing date for the religion quizzes on iLearn until tomorrow morning (Thursday) at 8am

Also, just fyi, the hot chocolate and donuts PBIS celebration that was supposed to be tomorrow morning Thursday, has been moved to next Tuesday morning (March 3rd). Kids who have a ticket to get hot chocolate and donuts need to keep it until next week.

TEST IS ON WEDNESDAY
Students need to study their notes, vocab, and quizzes for the upcoming CLOSED NOTE/BOOK test on Wednesday. The quizzes they have been taking act as a study guide for them.
Tomorrow I will check their Notes and bellwork for points. Wednesday their vocabulary sheet will be due. Here are all the materials they will need to complete their notes:
4 Paragraph compare/contrast essay will be due this coming Thursday. Today we will go over how to set it up and work on the introduction together. Here is the rubric for it:

QUIZZES
Students have been taking open note/book quizzes for each religion as we complete them, and they can also take these quizzes as many times as needed. These quizzes will be used as study guides for their final test which will be closed note/book. So far, students should have completed the Hinduism, Judaism, and Buddhism quizzes
EXTRA CREDIT
Today, Judaism EC was due, and Monday the Hinduism was due. Students are to read the chapter and complete the notes for EC (skip preview and processing for the notes).

We have begun our unit on world religions and started with Hinduism. Today we finished Hinduism and began Judaism. Last week I gave the students their vocabulary work that will have to be completed by the end of this unit. This is somewhat of their illustrated dictionary, but all they need to do is the definition and in their own words. Here is the vocab:

EXTRA CREDIT OPTION
If students would like to do extra credit, they will have the opportunity to do so by completing the reading notes designated for that religion/chapter in the textbook.
