Video assignment

On google classroom I posted two videos to watch on the Emperor of Qin and the Qin Dynasty.

One is short, only 4-5 minutes, about Qin Shihuangdi and his tomb and the purpose of the terracotta army. This is a very good video.

The 2nd video is longer, but students will only watch from 7:16-24:50. This talks about the emperor, the great wall, and his tomb. While they are watching this video, there are 10 questions they will answer on a google doc. THEY DO NOT NEED COMPLETE SENTENCES to answer the questions. This will be due tomorrow (Friday) morning by 8am.

Any questions email me at picher@dearbornschools.org

Thank you

Hey everyone, so first off I want to apologize for that first assignment. It did not go as well as I hoped. I know many students did the work, however on my end it doesn’t show names of students, only student numbers. So, unfortunately the grading for that is near to impossible.

I am seeing the first assignment as more of a test run, since it failed, I will be trying something different. Sorry for all the confusion on that assignment.

For the next assignment, students will read sections 4-6 in chapter 22, and then they will answer questions. This time, the questions will be in a google doc. This way, I will be able to see each kids work individually and what they answered for the questions. Grading will, hopefully, be much easier.

There are still some kids who have to take the chapter 21 quiz. Please let me know if you do.

Also, ESSAYS that need to be submitted, you MAY STILL DO SO. Send me a copy of the completed essay and I will still give you a score.

Thank you

Essays Graded

I have finally finished grading the world religions, 4 paragraph, compare/contrast essays that the students submitted a couple weeks ago. I know this is bad timing, but I have been meaning to get these finished and submitted into the grade book.

Please check your gradebook on student connect. You will see if yours was submitted or not. If not, YOU MAY STILL TURN IT IN BEFORE THE END OF THE CARD-MARKING! This is like a test grade, you must get this completed.

Every student should have it in their google docs (we did the introduction together as a class). To submit it, please make sure their name is on it, and share with me their final draft on google docs (no need to print anything). Please let me know if you have any other questions about the essay.

Also, there has been some issues with the google form sheet that was assigned today. I will work out the problems tomorrow and get back to you.

Thank you

1st assignment is posted up on google classroom.

I am keeping this as simple as possible in the beginning to make sure everything because this is my first time using google classroom.

Basically, all the students have to do is read chapter 22, sections 1-3 on the docs sheet (they could also read it in their textbook at home if they have it) and then answer the google form questions in complete sentences. This will be due on Wednesday.

Any questions please email me at picher@dearbornschools.org

Some of you have been contacting me about the quiz. If you still need to take it, please let me know.

Thank you
