Yesterday there was a sub in the class and they worked on their chapter 9 reading notes which are DUE MONDAY, and also worked on a question sheet that reviews chapter 9:
Today students finished their role plays. And we discussed the chapter summary of chapter 9.

Today students started to perform their role plays. We will continue with role plays on Friday.
Tomorrow there will be a substitute (though I will be in the building). Students will finish their chapter 9 reading notes in class tomorrow, and work on some questions as well. I will check reading notes on Monday and the questions will be due on Friday.
If there is any misbehavior for the sub and any names are written down, that student will receive a detention, no excuses.

Today students continued to prepare their role plays, this was the LAST day to prepare. Tomorrow they will start PERFORMING their role plays on Egyptian social classes. This is a summative grade, worth the same as a test.
We will perform tomorrow and Friday. Thursday there will be a sub and students will complete their reading notes.
Make sure students bring all remaining props and costumes for their plays tomorrow!

The last few days in class students have been working on role plays that describe the daily life of ancient Egyptian social classes (government officials, priests, scribes, artisans, peasants). Students needed to have read their designated section, done the reading notes on their class, and began preparing role plays.

STUDENTS NEED TO BRING IN PROPS AND COSTUMES FOR THEIR PLAYS!!! They only have ONE MORE DAY to prepare. We will begin conducting the role plays on Wednesday.
This is a summative grade of 30 points, just like a test.

Yesterday and today we worked on chapter 9: Daily Life in Ancient Egypt and did sections 1-2. Students need to have the preview finished as well as section 2 notes.
They will be doing a role play for this chapter showing the daily life of ancient Egyptian social classes. That will be their summative grade for this chapter.
