Processing Assignment
Students will either make a commemorative plaque (effective) or a ‘wanted’ poster (ineffective) about the Emperor of Qin. They will have a picture of the emperor, and 3 actions to explain whether or not he was effective. Each action must have a hand drawn illustration. The descriptions MUST be 2-3 sentences each. Worth 10 summative points and due on Thursday!

Today and last week Wednesday in class we worked on CER posters and watched a video on the Emperor of Qin. The posters were just done in class and absent students don’t need to complete that. However I highly recommend to watch the video I showed in class. See below

Yesterday and today in class we continued with chapter 22: The First Emperor of China. Yesterday we talked about the Great Wall; purpose, who built it, and it’s effectiveness. Today we talked about section 5 where he ended any criticism and threat against him by using very harsh punishments.
Any absent students needs to read sections 4-5 in their book and complete those sections in their notes.

Students are learning about his accomplishments such as uniting China and standardizing the culture. But for each they come at great costs.

Today in class we began chapter 22: The First Emperor of China.
We discussed what actions of a leader make them effective or ineffective. At the end of this chapter students will decide whether or not the Emperor of Qin was an effective leader or not.

Today, we talked about what makes a good leader and what qualities make up a good leader. We will be starting chapter 22: The First Emperor of China, and also discuss was he or not an effective leader.
The chapter 22 illustrated dictionary was assigned today and is DUE ON THURSDAY! The need to fill all the boxes for ALL words…blue AND black!!

Yesterday students finished their world religions assessment. When they finished they were to start a pre-writing assignment which would be written in class today (Friday).

Today in class they finished their 2 paragraphs, compare and contrast of 2 religions.
Unless they didn’t finish their 2 paragraphs, then there is no homework over break!
