Yesterday we went over breifly some information from chapter 29, the golden age of Athens.  We discussed Greek mythology and Greek philosophy.  They read p.305 and p.309 and answered some questions on their notes I provided.  There was also a simple ppt to go along with the notes too.  Here is the ppt and notes they were working on:

Tomorrow we will continue to chapter 30 on Alexander the Great and discuss him very briefly.

Yesterday students finished up their posters on one of the 4 battles of the Persian Wars.  This was a summative grade.

Today in class we started chapter 28: Fighting the Persian Wars.  These were wars fought between the Persian Empire and Greek city-states for control of Greece.

We read sections 1-2 and completed the preview and section 2 notes.  Here are the notes:
