Today in class we began chapter 21: Three Chinese Philosophies.  We will learn about 3 philosophies from ancient China that was created about 2500 years ago.  They are Confucianism, Daoism, and Legalism.

Today, students learned about Confucianism and did the notes for it.  We simulated how it works in class as well.  Here are the notes for chapter 21:

TWO PARAGRAPHS DUE TOMORROW!!

Students are to write a 2 paragraph, compare/contrast short essay on two religions of their choice.  They can type this, or hand write it.  It is due tomorrow.

Today we finished up the religion of Islam.

WEDNESDAY IS THE TEST ON ALL 5 RELIGIONS! 

Students MUST complete all quizzes on iLearn for all 5 religions by tomorrow night at 11:59 pm.  Questions on the quizzes are used at study guide questions for the actual test.  Students will also have a short writing assignment to do as well.

I will check their reading notes and bellwork on Wednesday as well.  Reading notes for all 5 religions, and map, must be completed by then.

Extra Credit

Students had the option to turn in Christianity extra credit today.  They can still turn that in tomorrow (see iLearn for the notes on chapter 36).

Islam extra credit is due on THursday, and students will need the text on Islam and the reading notes to complete.  On the reading notes, SKIP the Geography Challenge and the Preview and Processing… AND skip question #1 for each section
