I apologize yesterday for not getting the blog up. There were some problems with the site and couldn’t access it.
So yesterday I checked to see if the rough drafts were completed by the students. Any student who did not have their rough draft lost 5 points (unless they were absent on Friday or today).
Then we peer edited their rough drafts, using the rubric as a checklist. Here is the rubric and IBC charts again:
FINAL DRAFT IS DUE ON THURSDAY!
Students MUST have their final drafts typed and printed. My suggestion is to complete it early, so there is no trouble with printers the night before it is due. Please do not e-mail your essays, I will not print them out for you. Students need to learn how to find a printer if you don’t have one (library, family, friends, neighbors, etc…)
For those students who will not be here Thursday because of vacation, they may either turn it on before they leave, or can turn it in when they get back.
End of yesterday and today we began learning about The Silk Road. Students will learn how this vast trading route that connected East Asia to Europe changed the world as we know it today.
Here is a video I showed them to introduce the Silk Road
For chapter 24 reading notes, yesterday we did the preview, and today we did section 2. Here are the reading notes:
