In chapter 9, we are discussing the different social classes and their lifestyle from ancient Egypt (priests, scribes, artisans, peasants, and government officials).

For this chapter, we are going to be conducting an interactive dramatization, or a role play, to bring about the lifestyle of each of those social classes.  Students will be working in groups to perform their role plays, and they need to bring in props, costumes, and anything else to help bring it “to life.”  They will have all day tomorrow to prepare, and we are going to start presenting on Friday.

Here are the instructions for each of the 5 different social classes (one class is two pages, there are 5 classes total):

Students are encouraged to have fun, and they may add anything they like to the role play, but it needs to include the steps shown in the directions.

Students were also asked to read their corresponding section and complete the reading notes to that section
