Today in class we began chapter 9, Daily Life in Ancient Egypt.  This chapter will discuss the different social classes that existed in ancient Egypt, what they jobs were, and what their life was like.

Today students read sections 1 and 2, and needed to complete section 2 of the reading notes (as well as the preview activity).  If they didn’t finish section 2 notes, they need to finish them for homework.

We also completed the word wall for chapter 9 vocabulary.

The letter for the tour of ancient Egypt was due YESTERDAY!  Students who did not turn it in yesterday have already lost points, but still have until Wednesday to turn it in.  Here is the rubric:

I was very upset yesterday by the amount of students who didn’t turn in their letter.  They had way too much time to do it and there was NO REASON for anyone not to have finished it.  I don’t want to see this trend continue.  We are only half way through the school year.  For those who did turn it in on time, thank you
