Week Three Check In πŸ“™

Good morning everyone,

Mr. Petrusha and I wanted to check in with everyone and make sure everyone is staying safe and healthy.  We are here for help if you need it and can do our best to answer any questions you may have.  We do not have all the answers but we can try our best.  I know a lot of us (including your teachers) want to know what the future holds as far as school goes.  Governer Whitmer is supposed to announce more details in the coming days that will give us more clarity on our ever changing situation.

As for the work this week, it is the same as it has been for the past several weeks.  One CER along with the online learning.  All of it is the same as the document we released at the beginning of this event.  If you have any questions about this work please do not hesitate to ask us.

For the week of April 6th-10th, this is our spring break.  We will have no assigned work and nothing will be due.  This is a time to refresh and relax before we begin whatever the next step is in this crazy year.  We will send out another reminder later in the week.

Take care everyone.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Rockey & Mr. Petrusha

Week One-Remote Learning

Good Morning friends!

Hope everyone is staying well and finding a balanced schedule in your daily lives…

Great job on your first week of lessons and learning from home!

We were impressed by those you that practiced your online lessons, wrote and rewrote CERs based on our feedback, and turned in missing assignments during this unusual time.

New lessons will start today and please continue to reach out to us by email, text, or in comments when you need help.

Happy learning and stay safe!

PS-The Social Work Spot is a new iBlog created by Smith Social Workers, Nour Ismail and Kathy Weaver. Check it out for great information, support and ideas! I added the link to my page for your reference.
Our wonderful speech pathologist, Ms. Kobeissi and Ms. Khanafer, Occupational Therapist, have even more great advice and supports on their iBogs as well! They are all here for you and your students! Their links are here for your convenience…

Grab and Go Meals- Now Available at OL Smith

Dearborn Schools has announced that O.L. Smith will be added as a student meal distribution site starting on Monday, March 23.

Students, parents or a family representative can stop by any of meal locations from 10 a.m. to noon each week day to pick up meals.  One bag will be handed out for each child under 18 in the home.  The Dearborn School student does not need to attend school at that building.  Students do not need to be present, and a designated person can pick up meals for all the children in the family.
The free grab-and-go meals include food for lunch and breakfast.  Meals for Saturday and Sunday can be picked up on Friday.
Six other food sites opened on Tuesday, including Fordson, Edsel Ford and Dearborn high schools; McCollough-Unis; Salina Intermediate; and Woodworth Middle School.
Signage at each site will direct parents and students to where to enter the building.  Food will be near entrances, usually near the kitchen, to minimize the amount of time community members spend in the facilities.

The grab-and-go meals will be served at least through April 3.
