About David Bates

Mr. Bates began teaching in 1986 at the Howe School. He taught 3rd and 5th grade at Long Elementary before joining the staff at Unis Middle School in 2004. He earned his BS in Special Education from Eastern Michigan University in 1985 and a MSA in Educational Leadership from EMU in 1994. Mr. Bates has a daughter who is a History Major at the University of Michigan and a son who is a mechanical engineer in Boston, MA.
