We’ll be learning that cells are the building block of life and that all living things are comprised of one or more cells. Throughout this unit, we’ll also be examining the relationship between biotic and abiotic components and we’ll be learning about the difference between viruses, parasites, bacteria, and healthy cells. The next Do Now journal check will take place on Thursday, January 9th – Students will need a minimum of 20 correct, complete entries dated between November 4th & January 9th uploaded to Google Classroom by the end of the school day on Thursday, January 9th to earn full credit.

This week, we’ll be studying, analyzing, and investigating the connections between the Earth, water, weather, and climate. Students will conduct a series of activities and projects to explore how weather forms and how meteorologists predict weather patterns. The Water Cycle Quiz corrections are optional, but recommended for any student who scored lower than a 25/28 on the quiz (students who scored a 26 or above are ineligible for quiz corrections, since they already have an A). In order to earn points for quiz corrections, students must indicate the correct answer and explain, in one sentence, why that answer is correct. Students will earn back 1/2 credit for every quiz correction that they complete. The Water Cycle Quiz corrections are due by Friday, Nov. 15th at the latest!
