Friday, Sept 14th

Hi scientists, STEMists, and parents!

Thank you so much for welcoming me as one of the newest members of the STEM Middle School team, I hope you know how much I appreciate all of the kind words of encouragement and support as I round out my second week here. I was born and raised in Dearborn, and I was lucky enough to complete my student teaching practicum in the district (many moons ago), so I’m absolutely thrilled to be back, to have the opportunity to work with such incredible students and families.

I intend to use this blog as a resource to share an overview of what we’ll be covering in class each week. Students also have access to our Google Classroom, which is where I’ll link additional content and reading material.

Here’s a quick homework update:
6th Grade Science –

This week, we kicked off our Think Like an Engineer Unit, which will focus on the fundamentals of the engineering design process.  All students will need to return their signed syllabus acknowledgement form by Monday, Sept 17th (the late work deadline), if they haven’t done so already.
