6th Grade Science –
This week, we’ll be studying, analyzing, and investigating the hydrologic cycle. Students will conduct a series of activities and experiments to explore how engineers address travel and development-related problems caused by large bodies of water. Students will take a quiz on the Water Cycle & States of Matter on Friday, November 8th.

7th Grade ELA –
This week, we’ll be working on our argumentative & persuasive literature unit. Students will read, write, and evaluate different forms of argumentative and persuasive texts, including non-fiction literature, news articles, informational texts, debates, and transcripts. During this unit, students will also write arguments and counter-arguments that involve citing claims, evidence, and reasoning. Students will also be working on the first Book Project, which is due in class on Thursday, November 7th! Since students have had a month to work on this project, late book projects will not be accepted for credit.

8th Grade STEM Apps –
This week, we’ll be exploring and developing our computational thinking, design, programming, and web development skills, to solve academic puzzles and real-world problems. Students will also be taking the Bebras International Computing Challenge to see how their skills rank against other students across the globe.
