6th Grade Science –
This week, we’ll be studying, analyzing, and constructing bridges as we put the Engineering Design Process into action. Students will create, test, and evaluate a structure of their own design as they work through a set of engineering challenges to complete a Bridge Building Project.
Homework –

 Complete the bridge building materials assessment
9/24/19 – Work on the bridge building packet – phase 1. Complete the Design It, Explain It, Materials Used, and Draw It sections.

7th Grade ELA –
This week, we’ll continue our narrative lit unit by focusing on the story “Rikki Tikki Tavi” by Rudyard Kipling. We’ll also spend some time working on the following literary concepts: anthropomorphism, types of conflict, and character motivation.

 Finish decorating your anthropomorphism notes
9/24/19 – Complete your types of conflict notes

8th Grade STEM Apps –
This week, we’ll be continuing our design & modeling unit to hone our mathematical, technical drawing, spatial reasoning, and perspective illustration skills. We’ll also finish up the final draft of our isometric letter design assignment – The 3-D Name Project, which is due at the beginning of class on Wednesday, September 25th!
